Flower Guild
The Flower Guild was born as an off-shoot of the Altar Guild in an attempt to divide the work required between more people. The work of the Guild involves many members of St. Mary’s including those that make financial donations in the name of a loved ones ,to those that pick up the flowers, arrange them for the alter and often distribute them to parishioners. Without all members of this team being active the work of the Guild could not happen and I want to use the opportunity presented with the annual reports to thank everyone for their donations, their work and their dedication.
In 2009 there were 44 weeks of flowers; in 2010 it looks like we will have flowers for a minimum of 33 weeks. The Guild also ensures that there are flowers for special occasions such as the Easter and Christmas period.
