THE SECOND SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY

THE MIRACLE AT CANA

Here’s an epiphany to have and hold,
A truth that you can taste upon the tongue,
No distant shrines and canopies of gold
Or ladders to be clambered rung by rung,
But here and now, amidst your daily living,
Where you can taste and touch and feel and see,
The spring of love, the fount of all forgiving,
Flows when you need it, rich, abundant, free.
Better than waters of some outer weeping,
That leave you still with all your hidden sin,
Here is a vintage richer for the keeping
That works its transformation from within.
‘What price?’ you ask me, as we raise the glass,
‘It cost our Saviour everything he has.’

Stewardship Letter and Pledge Form 2024

We wait expectantly for the Lord’s coming, and the day when he will make all things new. For now, we are caretakers of his church and creation.  To better carry out that task, we want to let you know the state of our parish finances. We face a bigger than anticipated deficit due to a three-fold increase in insurance costs over the past three years, and the significant costs of caring for an older building. Thanks to your generosity, increased fundraising and rental income, and modest reliance on our trust fund accounts, we will be able to cover these expenses and complete the much-needed renovation of the Lower Hall. We give glory to God and are so very grateful for your faithfulness. We approach the new year with hope in God and in his provision for our needs.
